Course Structure:

The Certificate in Estate Agency brings together the NFOPP Technical Award in Residential Letting and the Certificate in Property Sales into a single qualification. The course covers the skills and knowledge required to manage residential lettings, navigate the property sales process, and understand the legal responsibilities involved in both areas.

Residential Letting Units

You will complete the following units as part of the NFOPP Technical Award in Residential Letting:

• Unit 1 (RLPM 1): General law, health, safety, and security in relation to letting

• Unit 2 (RLPM 2): Customer service within the property sector

• Unit 3 (RLPM 3): Residential property letting practice

• Unit 4 (RLPM 4): Residential property management practice

Property Sales Units

In addition, you will study the core principles of residential property sales, including:

• The house buying process

• Roles and responsibilities of the seller

• The role of the estate agent

• The role of the surveyor or valuer

• The role of legal advisers, including solicitors and conveyancers

• Property defects and their implications

 

Method of Assessment:

To complete the Certificate in Estate Agency, you are required to pass a multiple-choice assessment included in your course pack. If you wish to gain an additional certificate from NFOPP, you will be required to pass an online assessment directly.

 

Qualification:

Upon successful completion, you will receive the Certificate in Estate Agency. If you choose to complete the additional assessment, you can also receive the NFOPP Level 2 Award in Introduction to Residential Property Management Practice at a later date.
